News & Information
My Cultural Heritage Day
Yesterday was a very special day for our community as we came together to celebrate the many different cultures that our students and families come from. Students were invited to dress in their culture's colours and traditional clothing, and throughout the day we had many parents visiting classrooms, sharing aspects of their cultures.
During lunch time, there were so many activities for students to take part in throughout the school, and delicious samples of cuisines for them to try.
A big thank you to Mrs Fancy Reyes, for organising this wonderful event, and to Parents in Community and the many parents, staff, students and family members who took the time to cook food and be with us during the day.
Funds raised will be donated to the Migrant Resource Centre.
Special Guests at Secondary Assembly
We had the pleasure of welcoming our wonderful neighbours, Steve and Judy, to our Secondary School to share their knowledge and passion about the flags they proudly display on their flagpole.
Steve and Judy's insightful discussion with our students shed light on the significance of some of their flags, and they also shared about the opportunities that displaying their collection has given them. Steve and Judy shared how their flags represent many cultures and countries from all over the world.
A huge thank you to Steve and Judy for taking the time to enrich our learning experience and for being such fantastic community members.

Congratulations to our 2024 Science & Engineering team, who competed in the State Final at UTAS last week. Our team did an amazing job, and their efforts placed them as runners-up to our fellow CEN friends, Calvin Christian School. What an impressive achievement!
A big thanks to Mr Jose and Mrs Barracu who accompanied the team to the event.

New Building on the Horizon
Recently, we shared with you our refocused strategic plan, and we are thrilled to share with you our plans for an exciting new addition to our school campus - a state-of-the-art, multipurpose building that will serve as a performing arts and library precinct.
This project has been years in the making and is a key part of our school's master plan. After careful planning and consideration, we are now ready to submit the development application to the local council.
As our valued community, we wanted you to be the first to know about this transformative initiative. The performing arts and library spaces will be accessible to all, fostering creativity, learning, and celebrating community.
These are truly exciting times, and we look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of this landmark development. Please keep the people and process in your prayers as we continue moving the school forward, and may God continue to bless their work and labours.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain.” Psalm 127:1

Important Reminder: Parking @ LCS
We would like to remind everyone about the importance of adhering to our school's parking policy. It is crucial that we all abide by the posted speed limit to protect the safety of our children and other users of this shared space. Failure to do so puts our ability to continue using Windsor Park for drop-off and pick-up at risk.
Please take a moment to review the attached parking policy, which outlines the guidelines and expectations we must follow. Compliance with this policy is not optional - it is essential for the wellbeing of our school community and our continued use of this facility.
We urge everyone to drive slowly and carefully when entering and exiting the park and to ensure that you park in a safe manner within the designated areas. Let's work together to address this issue before it escalates further.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Lemons Needed
The HEC department would love donations of lemons throughout the school year. If you have a tree overflowing with lemons, please consider donating them to our department. Thank you!
