STAGE 3 DIOCESAN DEBATING COMPETITION

This week our Stage 3 Diocesan Debating Teams went to St Edward's Primary School to compete in their first rounds of debates. Both teams had two teams so it was a festival of debating with St Edward's Team A winning against St Nicholas' Team B, then St Nicholas' Team A winning against St Edward's Team B. The topic for the debates was "That we should ban all social networking for people under the age of 18." St Nicholas was the negative side for both debates. All the students prepared strong, well organised arguments and did an amazing job, particularly being their first debate. The students enjoyed a lunch with the St Edward's teams to help celebrate Catholic School's Week.
