Finals Day

On Friday we had the finals for the PSSA Season One. Congratulations to our Senior Boys Oztag and both our Newcombe Ball teams for competing in the finals day. A special mention to all our other junior teams who missed out by one point.

Our Senior Boys had a close semi-final, loosing 6-5 to Peakhurst South but from what I have heard there were some great tries scored and some diving tags to stop the other team scoring. Well done, boys!

Congratulations to both our Newcombe Ball teams who made it to the grand final. Unfortunately our seniors lost to Mortdale, two sets to one, and our juniors lost to Oatley West two sets to one. Well done to both teams!

We are very proud of all our teams who competed in the finals and over the season for their behavior and sportsmanship shown. We look forward to seeing what next season brings.

Athletics Carnival

The athletics carnival held on Wednesday was a thrilling display of talent and camaraderie. Students from all grades participated with enthusiasm, showcasing their skills in various events. The competition was filled with excellent sportsmanship and fair play, reflecting the values of our school community. As we send our best athletes to represent us at the district level next term, we wish them the best of luck. May they continue to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and excel in their events.

Swim Scheme

There are still 30 spots available for Swim Scheme commencing Week 1 and 2 next term.

If you are interested, can you please let your teacher know so they can send home another note. It is at Peakhurst West Swimming Pool which is heated and indoor.

Swim Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for your child to develop those important water skills and confidence in the water, in preparation for our swimming carnival in term 4.

Sydney East Soccer

Congratulations to Zayn McCrae who has been selected in the Georges River  Soccer Team and will compete on Monday at Kareela. We wish him and the team all the best in the tournament.
