A Green Afternoon at Holy Family

Due to the hard work of our Green Return and Earn Team and our whole school community, we were able to purchase 17 Magnolia Trees for our school. What an achievement!

On Tuesday afternoon, our Green Team planted the trees, weeded, mulched and tidied our school gardens. The school is looking fantastic.  An enormous thank you to Lyn "Green Nan" Archibald (Fraser 6W and Louis 3W) and Paula Stevenson (Zander Year 6) who volunteered their time to help.

During the day we also welcomed Peter Lockhart, environmental officer from Ku-ring-gai Council. Peter was here to do a site inspection for our application for native trees. This initiative from the Council is promoting Schools Tree Day in July.

We have also just applied to the council for a native Bee Hotel and pollen attracting plants. Fingers crossed that we are successful with these applications.

Parent Meeting - Reporting at Holy Family

Teachers are currently working hard to put together student's Semester One reports. In light of NSW Curriculum Reform, CSBB has created K-6 Universal Reports that we are mandated to use this year.

We are offering two information sessions to help parents navigate this new report format.
