GRADE 1| Clever Classes
Grade 1 students have been exploring important celebration days throughout the year. Many students in our class shared stories about attending an ANZAC Day service or celebration. We read the story of Simpson and his Donkey and we spoke about the importance of respecting ANZAC Day and the meaning behind it. We followed a guided drawing of a soldier in a slouch hat and we gave the soldier individual facial expressions, before painting it with watercolour. These soldiers are on display outside our classroom.
