School Review
Every school has a Strategic Plan outlining their focus (goals, targets and key improvement strategies) for a four year period. During Term Three and Four last year, staff completed the self evaluation of our previous Strategic Plan. The self evaluation informed the Review process this term.
The Review was conducted by a panel made up of: an external Reviewer (Craig Tanner), Kevin Murphy (network Senior Education Improvement Leader), two challenge partners chosen by the school (Ellen Corovic and Hayley Gridley), Dale Cheesman (School Council President), Robyn James (Principal), Ben Parker and Cadell Duke (Assistant Principals) and Andrea Quinn, Jill Potter and Nick Bugeja (Learning Specialists).
The Review process was held over four days, two of which (Field Days) involved classroom observations, student focus groups, staff focus groups and parent focus groups. Thank you to the students, staff parents who participated in the focus groups and informed the final Review of our school.
The Review is held to support the school to identify goals and targets for the next Strategic Plan. We will receive a final Review document in Term Two.
Our new Strategic Plan will have a learning and a wellbeing goal, and will be shared with the school community once it is completed.
I'd like to thank our Review Panel for their time and support of our school community, particularly Dale Cheesman (School Council President).
