Thank you to all of our 1/2 families for a terrific start to the 2025 school year. It has been a fun and busy term. We wish you all a safe and happy Easter holiday break and look forward to seeing you back ready for term 2!
Friday 4th April- End of Term 1- 2:15 dismissal
Congratulations to 5/6 Byron for winning our second Maths Challenge of the year, with 85% of students participating in the challenge! Our next Maths Challenge will be released in the first newsletter of Term 2 - be sure to keep an eye out!
Cross Country
It was wonderful to see our grade 1 and 2 students have wonderful time at Cross Country on Monday. We saw many displays of our school values during this event. Thank you to the many families who were able to attend on the day to show their support!
After reading Jeannie Baker's book 'Where the Forest Meets the Sea' last week, students had the opportunity on Friday to explore collage (just like Jeannie's illustrations) whilst completing a creative response to the text.

Mathematics: During week 1 and 2 students will continue to develop their number fluency skills and will build on the 2D shape knowledge.
Topic: In term 2 we will begin in week 1 learning about the significance and meaning of ANZAC Day. We will then move into our topic for the term which is Stimulating Science. Students will be explore concepts relating to different sciences e.g. materials and change, weather and seasons, push and pull etc.
Respectful Relationships: Our school focus in Respectful Relationships next term is Help Seeking.
