My Absence in Term 2

As part of course I have been undertaking with the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, I have the exciting opportunity to work at Epsom Primary School for the first four weeks of Term 2. As much as I will miss being at SGPS during this time, I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with and learn from the staff and community at EPS.

I will return on Wednesday 21st May.

Thank you to Mrs Jenna Brewer who will be the Acting Assistant Principal during this time. Please feel free to contact Jenna: jenna.brewer@education.vic.gov.au

Anglesea Camp

I had the pleasure of attending Anglesea camp with our 5/6s last week. The staff were incredibly proud of the way the students challenged themselves and supported each other over the three days. There were so many highlights to choose from, but mine had to be the night-walk beach experience.

Congratulations to all of the students on the way they embraced the camp. A special thank you to the seven parent volunteers who came with us; your support was invaluable and is greatly appreciated. Thank you also to the dedicated SGPS staff who went above and beyond (as always) to support our students and ensure everyone had a great experience.

Netbook Breakages

We have had an unusually high number of netbooks damaged in recent weeks. In many of these cases, students have been putting netbooks in school bags without their protective case. Please remind your children about their responsibility to take care of their netbooks.

Wishing the SGPS community a safe and happy Easter holiday break.
