Holy Week and Easter

Holy Week is the most sacred time in the Christian calendar, marking Jesus’ journey to the cross and His glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. It is a time for families to come together in prayer, reflection, and gratitude.

The week begins with Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered Jerusalem to shouts of praise. On Holy Thursday, we remember the Last Supper, when Jesus gave us the gift of the Eucharist and taught us the importance of service. Good Friday is a solemn day, as we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation. Holy Saturday is a time of waiting and preparation, leading to the joyful celebration of Easter Sunday, when we rejoice in Jesus’ resurrection and the promise of new life.

As parents, this is a wonderful opportunity to share the story of Jesus with your children through prayer, attending services, and simple traditions like reading Bible stories or creating an Easter prayer space at home. Easter reminds us of God’s love and the hope we have through Christ. May this Holy Week draw your family closer in faith and bring the joy of Easter into your hearts.

Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter!
