LIBRARY RESIDENT

Have you had a chance yet to meet our resident library sloth? His name is Sammy Sloth and he loves nothing more than to hang around in the library surrounded by books. He often reminds our young people that the library is a special space to slow down, to take more notice of our own thoughts, breathing and movements, and to be positive about reading - slow and steady makes progress! At St Joseph's School we are fortunate to have two young, highly qualified official 'sloth wranglers' to keep Sammy in check. They check in on him and ensure he is exploring all parts of the library and not getting stuck with just one type of text!

TRAINEE LIBRARY MONITORS

With our library getting quite busy I have had the great pleasure in beginning to upskill some younger students in stage 2 to be able to run the circluation desk (scanning books). This week I need to give a special shout out to Nahla, Mia and Elkie for keeping the library running so smoothly, well done!

BORROWING DAYS

Of course, the library is open every lunch time and students can return and borrow books at that time.

Happy reading!
