Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term Two! It is already shaping up to be a busy, fun-filled term.

STOMP

Last week, it was amazing to see the students and staff participate in our STOMP workshops. Our children certainly had all the moves, and the teachers weren’t too bad either! It was great to see so many smiles and everyone having fun and trying their best.

ANZAC DAY

On Friday, April 25th, our School Captains, Kobe and Ashlynne, attended the Dawn ANZAC Service in Horsham. Through participation and reflection, our students deepen their understanding of the ANZAC spirit and the Christian call to peace, justice, and service. Kobe and Ashlynne represented our school with pride.

SPORT

We are currently in a busy sporting season here at school. This week, we congratulate our age champions in the school athletics. We thank Poppy, James and Mia, St. Brigid’s College student leaders, for attending our assembly this morning and presenting the students' medals and awards.

CONGRATULATIONS WIMMERA Our 2025 Athletics House Champions! (Henry P was absent)

We also congratulate the students who represented SMJ at the HCPSSA Cross Country. Next week, 54 students will attend HCPSSA Athletics, where they will compete against other schools in our region.

2026 TOURS & ENROLMENTS

Next week, we begin our school tours for 2026 Prep enrolments. If anyone you know would like a tour, please encourage them to contact the school office. If you are an existing family with a prep student starting in 2026, now is the time to complete their enrollment form.

If you have a student transitioning to secondary school, St. Brigid’s College is hosting an open day on Monday, May 5th.

MOTHER'S DAY

Next Friday, we are looking forward to celebrating our Mother’s Day shared lunch and Liturgy with you all.

Thank you to our families and staff for their continued support while Louise was away. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Chesterfield back from leave next week.

Kind regards

Lisa.
