K/1

Students in K/1 have been enjoying a variety of singing games across many Key Learning Areas and are particularly enjoying the songs and games associated with Easter. Together with our friends in Yr 1, we have been learning the song for our Easter Liturgy. The children enjoyed the visit from the Rural Fire Service on Tuesday and wrote some great recounts and teamed these with wonderful artistic expressions of the experience. The children are taking great pride in their work presentation, always using bright colours and wonderful drawings to illustrate their learning. Our room is very colourful and we love the butterflies, which were painted by the Mini Michael’s class.

Well done K/1 (and Mini Michael’s).

Year 1

Year 1 has been painting up a storm! Our little artists have created some amazing sunset scenes, filled with fiery colours and dramatic silhouettes. They've discovered the magic of warm colours and how to make a picture pop. These masterpieces are sure to brighten your day!

Year 2

Our busy artists in Year 2 have been creating beautiful bunny silhouettes using vibrant oil pastels! The children worked diligently, carefully following step-by-step instructions to achieve their desired silhouette against colourful backgrounds. It was wonderful to see their creativity blossom as they experimented with blending and layering the pastels, while also demonstrating great focus and perseverance. Well done Year 2!

Miss Rasche

Year 3

Year 3 have been submersing themselves into the world of all things ocean. This week, we created an underwater scene featuring a variety of ocean creatures. Students selected an animal they were interested in and followed a step-by-step directed drawing to learn how to draw their animal. We then used watercolours to add colour and detail to our masterpieces. I’m sure you will agree it turned out turtally terrific!

Year 4

It's been wonderful to see the Year 4 students really embrace their creativity in Creative Arts lately. They've been diving into watercolour painting and sketching, and it's fascinating to watch each of them interpret the Frisian cow theme in their own unique way. Focusing on using bold colours and meticulously capturing the details of the cow stimulus.

Stage 3

Our creative geniuses have been busy in the Stage 3 room creating a range of art works on the theme of democracy, the topic we have been studying in History.  They have made realistic half self-portraits, created digital patterning on a theme, sepia newspaper articles, cartoons, collage, architectural sketches and posters to show the three levels of our government.  Feel free to drop in and check them all out in person in our colourful classroom!
