KLA Feature - Science

It has been an exciting start to the year in Science, with students across all year levels engaging in fascinating topics and hands-on learning experiences.
Year 7 students have been settling into high school science, exploring the nature and practice of scientific inquiry. They have been developing their skills in observation, measurement, and experimentation to test claims and deepen their understanding of how science works. Year 8 has been investigating the forces that shape our world, while Year 9 has been delving into the newly introduced energy topic. Meanwhile, Year 10 students have been exploring the wonders of chemistry. Our senior students are making great progress in their courses as they continue their in-depth scientific studies.
Beyond the classroom, students have been embracing additional STEM opportunities, including the Brain Bee Challenge, an exciting competition that tests knowledge of neuroscience. We are thrilled to have our new STEM Coordinator, Ms Gabriela Flak, leading these enriching experiences and encouraging students to extend their scientific learning beyond the curriculum.
We look forward to another exciting term of discovery and innovation in Science!
