From the Principal Leader

Dear Staff, Students, Parents and Carers,

As we near the end of the term we are excited about the upcoming school holidays and Easter celebration. We have so much to celebrate as a learning and faith community as we have achieved a great deal.

ANZAC Day: Honoring Our Heroes

As a college community we will be in attendance at the Warragamba ANAZAC Day ceremony. This has been a longstanding tradition to attend and represent the college in commemoration of all those who have represented and defended our country over many years.

Each year, on April 25th, Australians and New Zealanders come together to observe ANZAC Day, a significant day of remembrance for those who served and sacrificed during World War I and subsequent conflicts.

ANZAC stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and the day marks the anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign in 1915, where thousands of soldiers from both nations fought bravely under harsh conditions. The courage and determination of the ANZACs have since become symbols of national pride and resilience.

This ANZAC Day, we encourage our students, staff, and community members to reflect on the importance of service, sacrifice, and the values of unity and bravery that the ANZAC spirit represents.

Our school will hold a special ANZAC Day ceremony, where students will learn about the history of this day, honor the fallen, and reflect on the impact of war. We invite families to participate in local dawn services and share in the spirit of remembrance.

Let’s take a moment to recognize and thank all the men and women who have served our country, past and present. Lest we forget.

Thank you in advance to all those staff and students who will be in attendance carrying our school banner and laying the wreath as a symbol of our respect and sincere appreciation.

YEAR 7 CAMP

Year 7 students and staff attended the Year 7 Camp last week at the Great Aussie Bush Camp at Kincumber. The students engaged in lots of activities such as high ropes, mud run, archery, survivor challenge, giant swing, leap of faith and other team building activities that have assisted build friendships across the year group outside of their own homeroom.

A FUNDRAISING DAY FOR SIENNA

This Friday 4th April we will be supporting Sienna Barbara, a student in Year 12 who has endured surgery and is now undergoing comprehensive treatment. We will all be wearing mufti clothing and wear as much purple coloured clothing to show our full support to help raise funds for her treatment to help her regain wellness. Sienna is continuing with her HSC studies with great commitment despite her health challenges and we are all very proud indeed.

Prayer for healing

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL 2025

We look forward to enjoying our Athletics Carnival on the final day of term FRIDAY 11 APRIL and hope that all students get into the spirit of this by dressing up and competing for their house. Students will come to school and then be transported by bus to Blacktown Athletics Field.

Best wishes concluding the term with positivity: We are BETTER TOGETHER!
