Dear Parents,
Last Friday and Saturday, Bathurst Public School participated in the 2025 Schools Spectacular at Qudos Bank Arena. To say it was spectacular is an understatement. It was truly a remarkable show. Our children were outstanding as part of the combined choir, D’Arts and combined dance segments. They were wonderfully prepared and supported by our staff; Mrs Cafe, Mrs McClements, Ms Reedy, Miss Weekes and Mr Wolfe. For those wishing to watch the 2025 NSW Schools Spectacular, it will be on Channel 7 on Friday, December 19 at 7 pm, with an encore broadcast on Saturday, December 20 at 10:30 pm.
Our staff are putting the final touches onto the Semester 2 reports. All reports will be sent home with children on Friday 12th December.
Tomorrow, Friday 5th December, is the last day for the children who have attended the 2025 School Swimming Program at the Manning Aquatic Centre. All of the children have had a terrific time and the daily practice has seen everyone improve. Thank you to all of our children who have participated in the program this year. A special thank you to Miss Reedy and Mrs Mitchell for their coordination of our Swimming Program.
The last day of canteen for the school year will be Friday 12th December. Thank you to Mrs Chaffey and all of our volunteers for their work in keeping our canteen operating.
A reminder that payment for the Year 6 Jumpers is due by Wednesday 10 December. If you have any questions, please contact the Front Office.
We’re thrilled to share an exciting update on our upcoming Canteen Artwork Project! Bathurst Public School has partnered with talented local artist Calum to transform the canteen area into a vibrant and inspiring space that reflects the heart of our school community.
Calum, whose work can be seen in several stunning local installations (see examples below), will begin creating the mural in late December. His design will celebrate the creativity, diversity, and spirit of Bathurst Public School — a lasting legacy for our students, families, and staff to enjoy for years to come.
The project is a joint initiative between the P&C and the school, who have together committed the majority of the funding required. To bring this vision fully to life, we’re now inviting our school community to help raise the final $10,000 needed to complete the project. Every contribution, big or small, helps us achieve this incredible goal.
