This Week's Updates

Dear Families,
Congratulations to our Year Six Girls Volleyball Team who finished Runners Up in the School Sport Victoria State Championships on Friday afternoon.
For a school that has 28 Year Six girls to choose from (some of the other competitors have 70 - 100 Year 6 girls enrolled), we have certainly punched well above our weight in this event.
I am so proud of the girls' attitude, teamspirit and commitment to training and improving. These factors no doubt, helped them achieve this outstanding result.
Thanks to the parents who came along to support and who helped with some additional training. Thanks to the staff involved; Monica DeLeo - the coach, Bec Zani, Amanda Freeman, Jo Magnik, Nadine Jones and most importantly, Catherine Wall who taught Volleyball skills to these students in our Physical education program.
Congratulations: Ella, Adele, Maddie, Elsie, Piper, Kennedy, Grace, Angelina and Talitha.

St James Facebook Page
We’re excited to announce the launch of our official St James Facebook page. It’s a new way to celebrate and share the wonderful learning and community life that happens across our school. Social media is becoming a great way for schools to stay connected with families, and our page will showcase the many moments of learning, fun, and community life at St James.
Please note that only students who have permission to appear in school media will be included in photos or videos shared on our page.
Our Facebook page is designed to give families a glimpse into the learning, achievements, and experiences that make St James such a vibrant and special place. It will also celebrate the wonderful contributions of our students, staff, and families, while sharing reminders, updates, and highlights from school life.
While our newsletter, website and other communication channels will continue to be the main sources of information, our Facebook page will offer a more visual and immediate way to stay connected with what’s happening at school.
We warmly invite you to follow our page, celebrate our students’ achievements, and share in the spirit of St James.
Thank you for your ongoing support in building a connected and vibrant school community. Please follow St James Primary School on Facebook via this link.

It would be great if people could find the time to assist and volunteer, using the above sign up address.
We still need two Parent volunteers for the 12th December for our last Icy Pole day this year.
Movember
The lads moustaches are coming along nicely and some of us are counting down the days until the end of November!
The St James lads (Mr Crowe, Mr Egan, Mr Flintoff, Mr Mutimer, Mr Sweatman and Mr Young) are continuing their Movember mission with serious mo-tivation!
Our moustaches are coming in strong. They've gone from whisper-thin wisps to full-blown face foliage and our fitness goals have levelled up too. We’ve not only hit our original target but blazed past the 140km mark, proving we can go the distance one mo-stride at a time!
If you’d like to back our ever-growing and upper-lip-lifting efforts, please click the link below:https://movember.com/t/st-james-manly-mo-men?mc=1
Thanks to the amazing kindness of our community, we’ve now raised an incredible $800. Every dollar supports life-saving work in men’s mental health, suicide prevention and cancer research.
We’re truly grateful! Your support keeps our spirits high and our moustaches proudly on the grow!
Have a great week,
Cheers
Dave
