Principal's Report

A message from the Principal

This term has simply flown by, each week filled with different events. The Year 12 finalexams took place and it was so heartening to see the focus and commitment each student took in approaching the exams. The Jumpstart program for the 2026 Year 11 and 12 students commenced, with teachers and students beginning next year’s VCE courses. The preparatory work that has been given by the teachers to be complete over the summer break is essential and we ask that parents and guardians encourage their child to complete the work tasks.

The Year 9 and 10 exam program is currently taking place, enabling them to experience what the formalised exam programs entails and to consolidate their learning for the semester.

The nomination and interview process for the 2026 Year 12 Student Leadership Team took place mid-term.  The elected students demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities and they all embody our values in their everyday actions and interactions. The care for their peers and commitment to ensuring there is strong student voice and agency across the school is commendable. A key focus for next year’s Leadership Team will be to further build a House culture at the school with a diversity of competitions and events for students to participate in, building school spirit and connection.

On Thursday evening of this week, we welcomed our Year 7 2026 families to the school. Our new Year 7 students are excited about starting secondary school and we very much look forward to them and their parents joining our learning community.

Many of our Year 12 students are no doubt nervously awaiting their results, following the conclusion of the exam period. I want each of you to know that, regardless of what ATAR you receive, what is most important is to remember the remarkable accomplishments you achieved this year and throughout your schooling life. Every one of you pushed yourselves, challenged your own limitations and moved from the comfortable to the unknown. You should feel immensely proud of the young adult you have become. We certainly are.

Families will have received the confirmed course of their child’s chosen subjects and the associated costs for 2026. We do ask that families make the necessary payments before the school year concludes, allowing for a seamless transition into the new school year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

I look forward to celebrating our students’ achievements at the Awards Evening on the 17th of December at The Centre, Ivanhoe, and to farewell the Year 12 class of 2025

Kind regards,
