Assistant Principal's Report

Celebrating Your Child’s Growth Through Their School Report

We are proud to celebrate your child’s learning journey and achievements throughout the year. School reports provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on how much your child has grown socially, emotionally and academically. They are a celebration of their hard work, progress and unique strengths.

Our teaching team work with great care to create reports that reflect your child’s growth and achievements. We hope these reports bring joy to your family and highlight the progress your child has made across the year.

What Does the Report Include?

Schools in Victoria are required to report against the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 F–10 achievement standards. Here’s what that means for you and your child:

  • Achievement Standards:These outline what students should know and be able to do in each subject area. Your child’s report communicates their progression against key skill statements, showing where they are on their learning journey. Teachers use a wide range of evidence to make accurate, well-rounded judgments about each student’s placement on the learning continuum.

  • School Values and Wellbeing Skills:In addition to curriculum areas we provide skill statements aligned to our four school values - Integrity, Initiative, Respect, and Global Empathy - to highlight their importance in your child’s overall development. Last year we have also introduced wellbeing skill statements aligned to our Resilience Project focus areas: Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy.

  • Growth and Progress: Reports show not only where your child is currently achieving but also the progress they have made since the last reporting period. This acknowledges the steps your child has taken in their learning journey and recognises their growth over time.

Sharing Your Child’s Learning Story

Each curriculum area includes descriptions of what has been taught, what students are expected to learn and the standards used to assess their progress. These are closely aligned with what your child has experienced in the classroom, ensuring the report accurately reflects their individual learning journey.

Student reports will be published online via Compass on the 17th of December. We hope you enjoy reading your child’s report and joining us in celebrating their hard work and achievements. Thank you for your ongoing partnership in helping every learner feel supported, valued, and excited about their learning.
