In 6E literacy, we have been working on our speeches for Graduation. In the speeches, we talk about our learning journey through primary school including GWPS. Everyone in the class created a speech and shared it with the class. After that, 8 people were shortlisted. We went through a voting period, and the finalists repeated one paragraph of their speech.
We voted on one person, Evin, to represent our class in front of the cohort. In the end, a student from 6A will be representing the cohort at our upcoming Graduation.
We used analogies and figurative language to successfully make our speeches engaging, while having some comedy and humour for our audience. We considered the whole class, parents, teachers and our school leaders as our audience when we created our speeches.
We worked really hard and learnt a lot about making speeches and engaging the audience.
