School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports - SWPBS

Recently, Wedderburn College had the privilege of hosting a school-wide School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) Professional Development (PD) session. The key learning objective for the day was to educate attendees about the effective practices, initiatives, and successes happening at Wedderburn College in the area of SWPBS.

The PD was facilitated by Emma Milne, Dean Lockhart, and Alexander Iser, who each brought valuable knowledge, practical experience, and insight into how SWPBS is implemented across our school. Their presentation showcased the strategies, data-driven practices, and positive culture that Wedderburn College has developed over time.

The team were thrilled with the level of engagement and enthusiasm from all participants. Wedderburn College was selected to run this PD because we are recognised as an exemplar school in the field of SWPBS. Our model of consistent expectations, positive reinforcement, and community-wide collaboration has been acknowledged as a strong example of best practice.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many described the day as informative, helpful, and highly engaging, noting that they gained practical ideas and a deeper understanding of how effective SWPBS can be in supporting student wellbeing and behaviour.

We thank everyone who attended and contributed to a successful and inspiring day, and we look forward to continuing our work in promoting positive behaviour and a thriving school environment.
