Hello from 6E

Can you believe it? Another year has almost passed us by, and with it comes our final goodbye to this wonderful group of children.
I want to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to teach this class. They have been polite, caring, and consistently engaged in their learning throughout the entire year. We’ve shared terrific conversations about our classroom topics, and together we have all learned so much.
Speaking of the classroom… Once was an absolute hit! What an emotional rollercoaster — we were all completely invested. We followed Felix and Zelda’s story closely, often glued to the text during our reading circles. We were ecstatic when Felix survived, yet the book left us with countless questions and a strong desire to explore the sequels.
This novel opened the door for students to learn in depth about World War II, Poland, and Germany. Their understanding was clear when they completed their information reports, confidently communicating facts about geography, political history, people, and culture, just to name a few.
Outside the classroom, the year has been just as exhilarating. From designing and building Billy Carts, to our excursion to Luna Park, to graduation rehearsals, secondary school visits for 2026, and the Christmas concert — it has been a jam-packed and memorable conclusion to their primary school journey.
The final week will no doubt be emotional as we say goodbye to classmates, but we will certainly carry meaningful memories from this year. I hope each student reflects on their time at LPS with pride and happiness. I wish every one of them the very best in their future and have no doubt they have given themselves every opportunity to succeed.
Have a safe and merry Christmas from everyone in 6E!
