Busy Term 2 in 3/4W

It’s hard to believe we’re already in Week 8 of Term 2! Our class has been working hard and making the most of every learning opportunity. From exciting new topics to special activities and events, it’s been a productive and engaging term. We’re looking forward to finishing the term strong and celebrating all we’ve achieved.
Maths
At the end of our Fractions unit, students applied their learning to a rich and creative task. Using our school photo, they explored fractions in a real-world context and transformed their findings into eye-catching posters. This hands-on activity helped consolidate their understanding while celebrating our school community.
Religion
In Religion, our focus has been on Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit. We explored the Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit and how they guide us in our daily lives. As part of our learning, we completed an activity where we identified times we had demonstrated each Fruit of the Holy Spirit in our own actions. This helped us reflect on how we can live out our faith through kindness, patience, and love.
Hostel Visit
This week, it was our class’s turn to visit the local hostel and spend a special afternoon with the residents. We enjoyed chatting, sharing stories, and taking part in fun activities together. The students showed kindness, respect, and great enthusiasm throughout the visit. It was a heartwarming experience that helped build connections across generations.
