La Trobe’s Aspire Early Offer Program now open

 

At La Trobe, there’s more than one way into uni. The Aspire Early Offer Program gives secondary school students the option to secure an early conditional offer to La Trobe. They have three streams to choose from, so if you've given back to your community, did well in Year 11, or have a strong drive to make a future impact, then you can secure a spot in your dream course before finishing Year 12. Explore your options to find out about the benefits and eligibility to apply. Applications are now open and will close Friday 5 September. Students interested in applying should attend an Aspire webinar to learn about the Aspire pathways and if they’re eligible to apply, the application process and tips they need to ace their application.

 

Bond University Parent Information Webinar – Tuesday 17 June at 6pm

 

Bond are hosting an online Parent Information Webinar to provide parents with essential insights into the university experience. Victoria Police: Inside the Recruitment Process online webinar – Thursday 19 June at 6pm

Victoria Police are hosting an online information session for members of the community who are:

  • thinking of starting an application to join Victoria Police
  • currently going through the recruitment process and need more information
  • currently in the process of completing an application

REMINDER: Monash University Business Explorer 2025 – applications close 23 June

 

Monash's Business Explorer program will be held in the upcoming school holidays on 8 July 2025 and gives senior students studying VCE units hands-on experience in the world of business. Through interactive games, quizzes and case studies, students get to discover the world of start-ups, brands, stock markets and more! 

It will take place at Monash’s Caulfield campus with the day starting at 9:30am and finishing at 3:15pm. They have the option to choose three taster sessions in accounting, banking and finance, economics, analytics, entrepreneurship, management, and marketing to experience on the day. Academy at Arts Centre Melbourne school holiday programs

 

High achieving Victorian Government School students are invited to join workshops with working artists, inspiring them and developing skills they can take back to school and beyond. Participants may explore items from the Australian Music Vault or Australian Performing Arts Collective Reveal to see how successful artists bring parts of themselves to the stage. They will also work with staff in The Channel at Arts Centre Melbourne to identify their own strengths.

 

With workshops covering writing, performance, comedy, character development, theatre making, song writing, dance and design, there is plenty on offer for the next generation of art makers. Workshop offerings change each holiday period and students are encouraged to attend multiple workshops (subject to eligibility) to develop their creative skills. Discover ACU is designed to give you an exciting first taste of specific disciplines, with an opportunity to speak with current ACU students to find out what life is like in your study area.

Australian Institute of Music holiday workshops: Creative Tech OR State & Songcraft – 10 to 11 July

 

AIM’s Creative Tech holiday workshop is designed for high school students interested in Electronic Music. Created for students in Years 9-12, the two-day electronic workshops provide incredible opportunities to experience creating and performing mentored by AIM’s own accomplished industry and Ableton-certified professionals. Over 2 days students will work with AIM’s audio industry professionals to learn electronic music skills in AIM’s state-of-the-art facilities. During the workshop, they will guide students to navigate all things audio, electronic music, and composing using DAW. Find out more and register here.

 

AIM’s Stage & Songcraft school holiday workshop is designed for high school students interested in music performance & songwriting. Created for students in Years 9-12, the two-day music workshops provide incredible opportunities to experience playing, writing, and performing music, mentored by AIM’s own accomplished musicians and educators. Swinburne Innovation in Action school holiday program – Friday 11 July

 

In the upcoming July school holidays Swinburne University of Technology is running a 1-day program based at their Hawthorn campus where Year 10 - 12 students are given the knowledge and tools they need to come up with brilliant new ideas to solve real-world problems. In this free program students will:

  • Visit Swinburne’s Hawthorn Campus and identify a problem they’d like to solve, framed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Work together with their peers to build a prototype solution for your chosen problem
  • Level up your learning through hands-on, interactive workshops that focus on teamwork, design thinking, problem solving and communication
  • Have fun!
