Around the World
Students cooked a rainbow of veggies in the kitchen last week, as part of the Food Technology elective called Around the World. Pictured here, they are are chopping, dicing, straining noodles, stirring and doing an all round fantastic job of making Bok Choy and Ginger, Rice Noodle Stir Fry.
Library
The last few months have been very busy in the library with new shelving and carpet being installed over summer. All of the library was emptied out before the summer holidays, and put back together for the school year. The cumulative effect of new carpet, deeper shelves, and every book being recently shelved is a fresher feel. We've still retained the welcoming atmosphere, with students enjoying their time to study, read, hang out at lunch or meet with teachers. If you are wondering about the hearts and dinosaurs - last week saw the celebration of Library Lovers' Day. A day where you show your love for your library, make a date with a good book, or generally celebrate reading and how good libraries are. Thanks to two recent donations of board games from thoughtful and generous families - the games area is looking tempting and full again. Keep the library love going strong!
