Celebrating Highvale Secondary College’s Senior Volleyball Team

A huge congratulations to Highvale Secondary School’s Senior Boys Volleyball team for making it through to regionals!

On Friday, 14th February, the team competed in the local school round robin. Despite entering the competition as underdogs—having had no opportunity to train together due to the school gym’s unavailability—the boys displayed outstanding teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship on the court.

It was an incredibly proud moment to have teachers from other schools approach me to express how impressive our players were to watch. Both our Senior Boys and Girls teams truly embodied the saying, "Where there’s a will, there’s a way."

Coaching our school sports teams is an incredibly rewarding experience—one that allows us to celebrate victories and tackle challenges together. 

A special shoutout to our team photographer, Kisara P.! Although an arm injury prevented him from competing for HSC, he demonstrated true team spirit by capturing the success of our Senior Team through his photography.

Well done, team—bring on regionals!
