SRC

Dear students of Highvale,

Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of school events and contribute to the school? Then the Highvale SRC is the perfect place for you.

The Student Representative Council offers a great opportunity for you to learn new leadership and organisational skills, collaborate with students across all year levels and be part of our schools’ bigger events such as our yearly Xmas carnival or other special dress up days.

We’re looking for students who are creative and want to further enhance and grow their own organisational and leadership skills and foster their future potential at Highvale. We welcome those who wish to raise their voices in school council in our fortnightly meetings. Open to all students across all year levels, we welcome you to represent your peers in the changes and improvements of Highvale to create a better environment for our school community.

We want you, your opinions and, your input in Highvale.

Anyone who’s interested in joining is welcome to attend the first meeting with their friends on Tuesday 4th March at 1pm in H12 breakout space to experience how meetings are run and decide if SRC is the right fit for you!

We can’t wait to see you there to start planning our next big event!

Mia and Vaishnavi

SRC Captains

Leadership Opportunity -Leaders for Change 2025

Expression of Interest

Leaders For Change empowers young people aged 15-25 years to become advocates for social change in their local community. If you're passionate up about tackling issues like gender equality and social isolation, this is the place for you.

Every week, join a dynamic group of like-minded young people and dive deep into discussions, activities, and conversations that aim to reduce the rate of violence in our community.

The program will run Thursday evenings, 5pm - 7pm from 13th March to 5th of June 2025 at Monash Youth Services in Glen Waverley.

Leaders For Change is an inclusive, safe and supportive environment. We welcome and encourage young people from the LGBTIQA+ community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people from diverse cultural backgrounds and people of all abilities.

Submit your Expression of Interest to join a group that allows you to meet like-minded people, build your skills and knowledge, boost your resume and become the next leader for equality and respect!
