Principal's Message to the School Community

Dear KPS Families,

We are excited to welcome you back for another year of learning, growth, and shared experiences! Whether you’re returning to familiar faces or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our vibrant school family.

This year promises to be filled with opportunities to inspire and challenge each other, celebrate achievements, and create lasting memories together. We are committed to fostering an environment where every student feels supported, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Over the summer break, two Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA)-funded projects continued onsite:

1.     The construction phase of our oval refurbishment is now complete, including a bore, irrigation, upgraded drainage, additional soil, and grass sprigging. We are now entering the 13-week maintenance period, and we hope that students can access the oval in 3-4 weeks.

2.     Ramp upgrades have commenced in several locations around the site. Unfortunately, this includes the ramp linking the kindergarten and the school, which remains incomplete and inaccessible at this stage. We hope this will be completed soon, as it’s an important link between the two sites. For safety reasons, please refrain from walking through the staff car park.

Let’s make this school year one of our best yet—full of curiosity, kindness, and collaboration. Together, we can make it an incredible year for everyone!

Acknowledgment of Generosity – Travis Leitch, Built by TL

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Travis Leitch of Built by TL for his generosity in significantly discounting his rates to complete the irrigation connection for our vegetable gardens and young fruit orchard at the end of last year. A Kyneton local with a deep appreciation for trees and sustainable living, Travis’ support has helped ensure our gardens will thrive.

Built by TL specialises in house renovations, decks, kitchen and bathroom fit-outs, demolition, rubbish removal, and full project management services. Additionally, Travis has launched AWA Aluminium Windows Australia, a new venture committed to making double glazing more affordable for families—offering products that are, on average, 30% more cost-effective than competitors while enhancing energy efficiency, soundproofing, and sleep quality. We encourage our school community to support Travis and his businesses, and we thank him again for his generosity. For enquiries, please contact Built by TL or AWA Aluminium Windows Australia directly.
