TOMORROW MAN/TOMORROW WOMAN
Our year 11 students attended the The Tomorrow Man and Tomorrow Woman workshops on Friday, May 9th. These innovative wellbeing programs aim to challenge traditional gender stereotypes and foster emotional resilience among young people.
Through interactive workshops, the Year 11 students engaged in honest conversations about masculinity, femininity, mental health, and personal identity. By participating, they developed greater self-awareness, empathy, and the confidence to express themselves authentically. Our students are more empowered to build healthier relationships, support their peers, and contribute to a more inclusive and understanding school culture.

Here are some student reflections of the workshops:
The Tomorrow Woman session aims to promote young girls to use their voices more and be able to express their lives in a safe environment where whatever is talked about stays in the room. I think this opportunity was truly inspiring. The randomized groups allowed girls who aren’t in the same friend groups to bond and break the ice between the friend groups in school allowing girls to meet other girls. It really brought the group of girls together. Everyone connected in their own ways and expressed themselves.
This was also an opportunity for reflection to reflect on behaviour, make apologies to other girls if needed and acknowledge girls.

The Tomorrow Woman workshop was a great opportunity for deep reflection and meaningful connection. It mainly focused on what and who influences women, from friends and family to social media and societal expectations. It also encouraged us to reflect on how our actions impact others positively and negatively, although we may not realise it. It also focused on how others' actions affect us, and the past things that we may regret or be grateful for. By doing so, we saw these experiences as opportunities for personal growth and self-awareness.
The workshop created a safe and comfortable environment, a chance to further connect with our friends and also people we have never met or wouldn’t usually talk to. Overall, the Tomorrow Woman workshop was an experience that allowed us to think deeply about ourselves and the relationships we form.
