It is with great excitement that we commence a new year of learning and growth in Year 4 at Glen Waverley Primary School. As we embark on this journey together, we warmly welcome our returning families and extend a heartfelt greeting to those joining our school community for the first time. The start of the year always brings an air of anticipation, and we are eager to witness the energy, curiosity, and creativity our Year 4 students will bring to their learning.
In Term 1, our focus will be on establishing strong foundations for both academic success and personal development. Students will engage in rich learning experiences across all curriculum areas, with an emphasis on fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience. Through dynamic classroom discussions, hands-on activities, and digital tools, our learners will explore diverse topics designed to ignite their curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world around them. Year 4 promises to be an inspiring year filled with meaningful connections, purposeful learning, and the cultivation of lifelong skills.
Stay tuned for updates on the wonderful achievements and adventures of our Year 4 students this term!
Term 1
Transitioning from their previous level to Year 4 has been a smooth and exciting journey for our students. Building on their foundational knowledge and skills, students have embraced the challenges and opportunities that come with moving into this new phase of their education.
The beginning of the year has focused on helping students settle into new routines, develop a sense of ownership over their learning, and strengthen connections within their classroom community. They have demonstrated adaptability and enthusiasm as they navigate increased responsibilities, such as managing their schedules, participating in collaborative projects, and taking greater initiative in their learning.
Teaching Staff
Supporting our students on this journey is our dedicated Year 4 teaching team, who bring a wealth of experience, passion, and enthusiasm to their classrooms.
I believe Parveen was collecting these. Except ours are a bit shorter. Do you need them longer?
