THANK YOU & FAREWELL TO OUR SCHOOL COUNCIL PRESIDENT, STEVE PEARCE || We bid a fond farewell to Steve Pearce, who is stepping down from his role as School Council President as his children have now graduated from Beaumaris Secondary College. Steve's unwavering dedication has left an indelible mark on Beaumaris Secondary College and our entire community.
Steve has been a driving force behind Beaumaris Secondary College, having led the campaign to establish the school and ensure high-quality secondary education for our community. Thanks to his vision, advocacy and tireless efforts, the school opened in 2018 and has since grown to nearly 1,000 students, offering a thriving learning environment for all.
As School Council President, Steve—a true champion of public education and community leadership—has played a crucial role in shaping the direction, programs and growth of the college.
We sincerely thank Steve for his outstanding contribution and wish him all the best for the future. His legacy will continue to inspire students, families, and the wider community for years to come.

This incredible achievement gives Oskar a unique platform to represent students across Victoria and help shape decisions that impact young people.
Oskar's dedication to leadership and advocacy perfectly reflects our school values, and we're proud to have him as part of our school community. Keep up the great work, Oskar—we can't wait to see all you accomplish!

SNORKELLING AT RICKETTS POINT || Yesterday was the perfect day for our Year 9/10 Marine Sanctuary students to be in the water and learning beyond the classroom! By exploring marine organisms firsthand, they began making connections to their studies on adaptations, intertidal populations and human impacts.

CSI: DNA PROFILING || Our Year 9 & 10 CSI students stepped into the world of forensic science, using gel electrophoresis to analyse DNA from a “crime scene” and identify a match! As part of their PBL, they’re examining new evidence each week—last week was blood typing, this week DNA, and next week chromatography—as they work to solve the crime!

SENIOR BOYS & GIRLS CRICKET || A fantastic day at the SSV Round Robin competition yesterday! Congratulations to our Senior Girls on their win and well done to our Senior Boys for finishing 2nd in their pool!

YEAR 12 FORMAL || Last night, our Year 12 students stepped out in style at Lakeside Pavilion in Albert Park! A heartfelt thank you to the Student Formal Committee for their hard work in making the night so special!

MEET OUR YEAR 7 & 8 GOAL MENTORS || Our Year 7 & 8 GOAL Mentors are excited to welcome our Year 7 & 8 families this Tuesday evening! Our GOAL Program (Gratitude, Organisation, Aspirations & Leadership) fosters positive relationships between students, staff and parents while supporting student wellbeing. Timings and venue details have been shared via Compass. We can’t wait to see you there!

WHITE CARD TRAINING || Congratulations to the Year 9, 10, 11 & 12 students who completed their White Card training last week! The White Card prepares them with essential knowledge for safe work practices in the construction industry.

LEADERSHIP ASSEMBLY || A huge congratulations to our 2025 student leaders who were formally acknowledged and presented with their leadership badges at yesterday’s whole school assembly. We are confident they will inspire and lead with integrity, serving as outstanding role models for their peers throughout the year. We were honoured to have Zoe Daniel, MP, join us to present the badges and our 2024 College Captain Liv Hall as our MC. A special mention to our talented rock band and soloists, Will B and Skye V, for their fantastic performances that added to the spirit of the event!
Continuing a cherished tradition, our Year 12 students proudly escorted the Year 7s into their very first assembly!

HOLOCAUST MUSEUM || Yesterday, our Year 10 Our World students immersed themselves in the powerful "In Touch with Memory" session at the Holocaust Museum. This experience allowed them to personalise history and gain a profound understanding of the Holocaust through individual lenses. Engaging with the "Everybody Had a Name" exhibition and exploring historical artefacts, our students delved into the lives of Melbourne-based Holocaust survivors. A reflective experience on bravery, fairness, kindness, hope and perspective for them to carry forward in their choices.

YEAR 9 STUDENTS EXPLORING THEIR FUTURE || Our Year 9 students are taking part in the My Career Insights program, an initiative by the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE). Completing the Morrisby Profile enables students to discover their strengths, interests, and potential career paths, explore jobs that match their skills and personality, and gain insights into subject choices for their future goals.
Next, they’ll have one-on-one Morrisby interviews with a trained Career Practitioner to discuss their results in more detail. A fantastic opportunity for our students to start thinking about their future careers!
