Year 9 Primus Program

Year 9 Primus Program in Full Swing
Our Year 9 Primus Program is well underway, providing students with an exciting and immersive start to their journey at Suzanne Cory.
In the first two weeks, students dove headfirst into school life, embracing our strong house culture. From day one, they engaged in a variety of team-building activities, including the Bridge Challenge and a scavenger hunt. This was followed by Westgate House Day, where students competed in mini-indoor sports such as netball, soccer, dodgeball, and basketball—all in the pursuit of those highly coveted house points, as well a lot of fun.
Week two saw students venture into the city for their two-day City Experience, packed with engaging activities that culminated in an Amazing Race-style challenge. With the swimming carnival also taking place in the same period, it’s clear that house spirit has been well and truly embedded in our new students.
Looking ahead, the Year 9 cohort will round off their Term 1 Primus Program with the much-anticipated Phillip Island camp. It has been fantastic to witness students' confidence grow, friendships flourish, and a strong sense of pride in our school take root.
For many, the Year 9 camp becomes a cherished memory—one that our graduating Year 12 students often look back on as a defining moment in their Suzanne Cory journey. This program truly sets the tone for the incredible years ahead.
