Yay! It's finally here! Our annual school swimming carnival will be held tomorrow the19th of February at Werris Creek Swimming Pool, it is a day carnival to be held during school hours. Buses will pick students up from school at 9am, enabling normal school drop off for all students. The carnival will start at approximately 9:30am and conclude by 2:30pm. Students will then be brought back to school for normal afternoon travel arrangements.
What to wear and pack:
Students will wear their normal sports uniform (colour house shirt can be worn) with their swimmers on underneath. We will not be changing at school before leaving on buses.
Students will also need:
goggles/swim cap (if needed)
towel
hat
water bottle
Lunch box - if your lunch is ordered then maybe just some extra snacks - swimming makes you hungry!
The school provides sunscreen. Students are not required to wear a rash shirt if they are participating in competitive events (25m, 50m, 100m, 200m). For those participating in novelty events, rash shirts must be worn, this is because students are more likely to be longer in the sun during novelty events.
I would like to thank those parents who have offered their assistance in running our carnival. Thank you also to our amazing PT&F team and parents who have offered their baking skills for the canteen. You are amazing! Here is a list of jobs for those parents who have put their hands up.
