BE INVOLVED, BE CONNECTED
Our Grade 5 students have settled in beautifully this year, embracing new routines, forming friendships, and engaging in exciting learning experiences. From the very first day, they have demonstrated enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong sense of community, making it a smooth transition for all.
To help ease their transition and foster a sense of belonging, students have participated in a variety of team-building activities designed to encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. These activities have helped them get to know one another.
One highlight of the past few weeks was our cup and sting activity, where students worked together to stack the cups on top of each other without touching them. The level of teamwork and encouragement was clearly displayed with students cheering each other on and celebrating successes as a team.
In Grade One, we have created our own Classroom Agreement using the school values to guide us. We refer to these throughout the day to remind us how we play as a team.
