Highland Cows

Highland Cow Update

Our Highland cows have now moved to the far paddock after happily munching through most of the grass in their first space. They continue to enjoy the daily attention from the children, who are becoming more and more confident around them.

A big thank you to Alita for generously giving her time each day to take groups of children to visit the cows during break times, and to Ash for integrating the cows into Outdoor Education lessons, helping the children learn more about caring for animals and their needs.

We’re also very grateful to the families who have volunteered to look after the animals over the school holidays. Without this support, having animals at school wouldn’t be possible. Their presence has already had a wonderful impact on the wellbeing of not only our children but the adults that visit our school too!
