From the  Principal 

Dear Parents and Carers

During the  past week I have started to reflect on my time at St Bedes. To be honest I am not sure where the past 5  years has gone!!!  It is hard to believe that yesterday was my last day.

My journey at St Bedes started with two years of covid lockdown. That was an experience none of us had been through before, and required us to adapt, and adapt quickly. I could not have been any  prouder of our community during that time.  The staff provided an online education that was as thorough as it could be.  They were challenging times but as a community we were able to navigate and  grow from this experience.  It also developed me as a leader.

Luckily the next three years saw a return to face to face learning. An aspect of being a principal that I love  is building the relationships with staff, parents and students. I will always remember all your smiling faces  each morning as well as the "good mornings" and thumbs up.  It's a great way to start the day.

Visiting the classrooms daily is also a highlight for me.  To see each child learning and growing as a person is something very  very special.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is, and has been, part of the St Bedes community during my time here. I greatly value your support. Thank you to the staff for your dedication and commitment to all that we  have achieved at St Bedes.  

Thank you to the students for being so friendly. Your enthusiasm is simply infectious.  

Thank you to the parents for your trust in me as a principal, and your trust in the school. 

I want to wish everyone all the best. I know you will make the new principal feel very welcome.  Amanda Martin(Acting Principal) and Justin McFarlane( Acting  Deputy Principal) will be here to assist you all until the principal is appointed.
