Year 7 Camp - Adventure, Fun and Unforgettable Moments

On 17 February, our Year 7 students embarked on three days of unforgettable adventures at Phillip Island, embracing new challenges and creating lasting memories.

The camp was filled with exciting activities that pushed the girls out of their comfort zones.  Surfing at the beach tested their balance and resilience, while the Clip 'n Climb course encouraged them to conquer new heights.  One of the highlights of the first evening was the iconic Penguin Parade, where students watched in awe as the little penguins made their way home at sunset. The adventure continued with a visit to the local farm, where the girls were treated to an impressive whip-cracking display and had the chance to meet some adorable baby animals — including the crowd-favourite, the playful little goats!

The camp experience was made even sweeter with a visit to the chocolate factory, where students not only learned about chocolate-making, but also had the chance to create their very own delicious treats.

Overall, the camp was an incredible experience filled with adventure, teamwork and lots of laughter — an opportunity for our students to grow, bond and make memories to last a lifetime.

Year 7 Scientists in the Making

Our Year 7 students have had an exciting start to their science journey, diving into the world of laboratory safety and hands-on experiments.

One of the biggest highlights so far has been lighting a Bunsen burner for the first time — a moment filled with anticipation, excitement and just a little bit of nervous energy!

As the students explore the different pieces of equipment in the science lab, they are learning the importance of handling each tool with care and following safety procedures. From wearing lab coats and goggles to mastering the correct techniques for using scientific instruments, students are building strong foundations for future experiments and discoveries.

With curiosity and enthusiasm, our budding scientists are off to a fantastic start, ready to explore the wonders of science throughout the year!
