KLA Feature - Languages

Students of Japanese have had a fabulous start to the year. Our Year 10 class welcomed our two exchange students from our sister school, Eana & Fuyune. The girls have settled into the CCC way of life and there has been excellent English/Japanese language exchange in the Year 10 Japanese classroom.

Year 9 have begun the year by reviewing and recollecting the content learnt in Year 7. One of their first tasks was to create a fun role play using simple Japanese. The girls are working together well to help each other to use Japanese language in the classroom.

Year 7 students have had a very busy start to the year learning about Japanese festivals, such as Setsubun and Hina Matsuri, as well as greetings. They are all enthusiastically starting and finishing classes Japanese style. Most recently, they have embraced the challenge of starting their hiragana learning journey - learning how to read and write the Japanese phonetic alphabet.
