We are incredibly proud of our College's young women and the remarkable impact they continue to make. A dedicated group of passionate and determined Year 10 leaders represented our school at Crazy Ideas College (CIC)’s International Women’s Day Workshop — an exclusive event hosted at IBM’s Sydney CBD headquarters. This inspiring gathering brought together young women from local secondary schools to develop leadership skills, explore career pathways and connect with influential female leaders from this globally renowned organisation. It was a powerful opportunity for our students to gain invaluable insights into leadership and innovation, reinforcing the importance of taking action for gender equity. We extend our gratitude to CIC for this incredible experience and to IBM’s executive team for their generosity in sharing their knowledge. This event was a true reflection of the 2025 International Women’s Day theme: Accelerate Action!

Allied health careers are a popular choice for many of our students, and at a recent Lunch and Learn event, alumnae Lucy Shaw (Physiotherapist) and Amy Meekings (Podiatrist) returned to share their journeys. As part of the innovative team at OnePointHealth, an allied health organization with headquarters in Penrith, Lucy and Amy discussed their specific roles, the positive impact of their work and their own career pathways. They also introduced OnePointHealth’s exciting Clinical Cadet Program, which supports university students aspiring to enter the industry. It is exciting to see OnePointHealth as a thriving destination for past and future Caroline Chisholm College alumnae!

We were also delighted to welcome Di Mills from Beyond, who joined us live via Zoom from Brisbane to present an engaging and comprehensive showcase of this innovative careers education platform available to all Caroline Chisholm students. Beyond offers a range of features, including career and personality assessments, a skills portfolio, career comparison tools and up-to-date information on university, TAFE, apprenticeships, and traineeships. Designed to empower students in their unique career journeys, this free, intuitive and highly personalised platform is one of our key careers education resources, and we encourage students to explore its many opportunities.

Applying to university is a significant step, and we were pleased to host Trudy Noller, Community Engagement Manager from UAC, for an insightful webinar for Years 10-12 students and their families. The session provided valuable guidance on university applications, ATARs, HSC results, scaling truths and myths, key dates and programs like EAS and SRS, helping students feel confident about their post school plans. Complementing other key events at CCC, such as the Year 10 Subject Selection presentation and Year 11 Information Night, this webinar ensured students and families were well-prepared for their next steps. A big thank you to Trudy for sharing her expertise and supporting our students on their university journey! We’ll be presenting a full showcase of post school options to Year 12 students in an upcoming Year Meeting in late March.

Our College Captain, Ava, along with Vice Captains Tahlya, Nekea, and Scarlett, proudly represented our school at the International Women’s Day Breakfast hosted by St Columba’s Catholic College. As exceptional ambassadors and role models, they lead with humility and compassion, embodying the values of service and integrity. This inspiring event highlighted the importance of empowerment, equality and the invaluable contributions of women within schools and the wider community. We were honoured to be invited to this special gathering by College Principal Mr. Phillip Scollard and are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the role of women in shaping a more inclusive future.
