Important school update

Dear Banmira Specialist School community, 

I am writing to share some exciting news regarding our Principal, Angela Buxton.

Angela has been offered a unique opportunity to contribute to school improvement on a broader scale and has been seconded into a 9-month position with the Regional Area Team, as an Intensive School Support, Senior Leader. During this time, Angela will be working closely with schools across the region, supporting educational development and enhancing learning outcomes for a wider community of students. 

This is a wonderful recognition of Angela’s leadership, expertise, and commitment to education.

Angela will begin her role with the region on Tuesday 11th March.

While Angela is engaged in this important work, we want to assure you that our school will continue to run smoothly. An Acting Principal will be appointed to ensure continuity in leadership and maintain our strong focus on student learning, staff support, and community engagement. We will share further details about this appointment in the coming days.

We are incredibly proud of Angela for being selected for this role, and we know she will bring valuable insights back to our school upon her return.
