Early Years ~ 1/2 News
The Year 1, 2, 5 and 6 students have started the year focusing on skills used in the sport of soccer. We definitely have some superstars here at St Mel's. While we have been focusing on controlling the ball with our feet, we have also been working on working with a partner, small group or a team.
The Foundation students have had two short physical education sessions on the last two Tuesday afternoons. In these sessions we have focused on fundamental movement skills of running, jumping, throwing, kicking and balancing. Kim is looking forward to having them join us for Wednesday Physical Education sessions when rest days are over.
St Mel's was successful in gaining Sporting Schools funding again for this term. The second half of the term will have the Foundation, Year 1 and 2 students focusing on skills used in gymnastics. The Year 5 and 6 students will now focus on the skills needed for teeball (baseball).
Dear Families,
We are thrilled to announce that the video of our recent school production is available! Our students worked incredibly hard, and we’re so proud to share their efforts with you.
To ensure everyone’s privacy and safety, the video will be shared through a secure link, accessible only to our school community. Please note that this link is for personal viewing, and we kindly ask that it not be shared publicly or posted on social media. This way, we can protect the privacy of all students involved.
A special thank you to Shane Barbary and his family for generously donating their time and equipment to make this recording possible. We greatly appreciate their efforts, which allow us to capture these memories for years to come.
Thank you for supporting our students and celebrating their talents with us!
