Principal's News

Dear Familes and Friends,

What a wonderful day we had last Saturday. It was definitely a hot one but nevertheless we got a great crowd from our own school community and many from the wider local community. Once again,  it was a show of how our school community can come together to plan and run such a great event. Of course, as always, there are a few individuals who certainly deserve a special mention and I thank each one of them for all the extra work they did to ensure our fete's success. I am hesitant to include their names as I would definitely not want to leave anyone out. So thankyou to our organizers, stall holders, cooks, ticket sellers, supervisors, photographer, set up and pack up helpers and to all those who just stepped in to lend a hand on the day. It truly was another great team effort. Whilst there have been a number of expenses to consider we were able to raise almost $10 000 through our ticket sales and food and drink sales on the day so thank you all for your generosity.

As they say, a picture paints a thousand words so once again I share with you some amazing images from the day created by our very own Issey  Sawa, such a talented photographer.

Parents & Friends

As I am sure you are all aware our Parents & Friends group is an essential part of our school community. Our recent school fete highlights what we can achieve when we work together. We are now looking to establish an even stronger P&F group who can lead our school's fundraising and social activities. It would be great if we are able to attract some of our new parents especially those with children in our junior classes which will enable us to build some strong connections and working relationships.  Mr Ru and myself may begin to apporoach some of you or if you wish you can approach one of us to talk about what might be possible in regards to this.

Easter Raffle - Donations Wanted

With Easter approaching we would once again like to call for donations for our Easter Raffle. We will begin collecting Easter Eggs/Chocolates which can be dropped off at the office or sent with your child. As this Easter Sunday will be on  April 20th, in the last week of school holidays, we will wait until children return to school and hold our raffle on Thursday 24th April at a whole school gathering.  This means we have the final two weeks of school to collect donations and the first two days of Term 2.  Thanks in advance for your generosity.

Harmony Week

Monday 17 - Sunday 23 March 2025

Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.

It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

On Friday (Tomorrow) all children are encouraged to wear a touch of orange to acknowledge this important event.

School Fee Statements

Thanks again to all those who have now paid or begun payment of 2025 school fees. If you have not received your fee statement in the next few weeks please contact the office and our office staff will follow this up. A reminder that some families may be eligible for fee subsidies and the relevant forms or information can be obtained from the office.

School Photos

A reminder that school photos will be taken on Monday 24th March. Students are required to wear their Academic School Uniform on the day with black shoes or all black sneakers. If you have any concerns regarding your child's photo being taken a note has been sent through Nforma Parent Portal for you to complete. Please contact the office tomorrow if if you have any questions in this regard.  The photo order forms arebavailable below.

NAPLAN

The 2025 NAPLAN tests for our Year 3 and Year 5 students have now all been completed.

Whilst these test results will give us some very important data to measure our progress and identify areas for improvement it must be remembered that these tests are conducted over a specific time and are not a measure of every aspect of each child's learning. Many children may find these tests challenging and therefore broader assessment is essential and is someting we do regularly at Trinity.

Clubs

Our clubs program continues each break and children are encouraged to attend throughout the week.  Below is our timetable for this term's clubs.

Speech Pathology for Schools

Trinity Primary School has been working in partnership with Speech Pathology in Schools  for a number of years now and we draw on their expertise in this area of child speech development. Our resident speech pathologist works closely with our learning leaders and teachers to enhance their skills as well as of course many children who may be experiencing difficulties in language learning.  This partnership is a vital aspect of our schools intervention and learnig programs. SPS Speech Boxes are provided to us regularly to share with families who may wish to use these ideas to support children at home. Check this week's SPS Speech Box on Ms Helen's Learning Page HERE
