From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,
We hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend, especially as our summer continues in March. As the warm weather continues and the UV rating is high, we encourage all families to apply sunscreen each morning. Students are able to bring sunscreen to school to reapply if needed. An easy to use roll on sunscreen makes this a quick and easy process. Hats continue to be worn during activities outside and all students should have a school hat which is either broad brimmed or a legionnaire style.
Enrolments 2026
Enrolments for 2026 are now open. We have a number of opportunities for prospective families to find out more about our school.
Next Thursday 20th March is our Open Morning from 9:00 - 10:30 am, including a morning tea. This is an opportunity to walk around the school, see the learning in action, and speak to our staff and students.
We also have Tours, Information Sessions (both online & in person) and a Taste of School. To make a booking visit the school website. https://www.stbernardscoburg.catholic.edu.au/
The Resilience Project TRP
This week on our Wellbeing page, there is some information about Empathy which is another of the guiding principles of the project.
NAPLAN
NAPLAN begins today and will be completed over the week. Students in Years 3 & 5 participating in assessments in Writing, Reading, Numeracy and Conventions of Language. We wish all our students well and know that the information gathered from these assessments is only one very small part of the amazing young people they are!
Learning Conversations
Learning Conversations are being held on Tuesday 25th March from 3:30pm - 6:00pm. These are compulsory and all students are to attend with at least one parent. Whilst teachers are present, it is the students themselves who lead the discussion about their learning, so they are an invaluable component of their learning and our home school partnership.
You can book an interview time at: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/
