News from Year Three

St John's First Aid Training

There was a lot of hands-on learning happening during our St John's First Aid Training last week. The skills learned are great to know in an emergency and it was fantastic to see how enthusiastic Year 3 were to learn as much as they could. 

NAPLAN

We are so proud of Year 3 for completing NAPLAN with such resilience and determination! It was a big brain week with lots of concentration and hard work, but we all got there in the end. Well done everyone!

Twilight Sports

Next Tuesday night 18th is Twilight Sports! This is always a great night and we look forward to seeing all of you! The Year 3s have been practicing their theme songs in their house colours during Friendship Groups... they are sounding fantastic!

Time in Maths

This week and next we will be looking at Time in maths. Telling the time is an important skill in everyday life, but it can be tricky to grasp. It is a great idea to talk about time at home and any incidental learning that occurs is always so meaningful and relevant.  

Eddie the Elephant 

Introducing our newest member of Year 3, 'Eddie'! Eddie arrived last week with Miss Fraser and is super excited to go on many adventures this year. 

Blurting

We have been focussing on 'blurting' in Year 3. Ask your child to explain what this means and why we work hard not to do it!
