Welcome back to term 2. We hope all our families had a wonderful Easter break and are recharged and ready for the term ahead.
Just a reminder to parents and carers about our Community Charter. It outlines the responsibilities of parents, carers, educators and school staff in NSW public schools to ensure our learning environments are collaborative, supportive and cohesive. We have attached another copy to this week’s newsletter.
Unfortunately, we have had several incidents lately, whereby parents have engaged in verbal abuse with each other. We have also had parents verbally abusing staff members. This is very disappointing behaviour, and these incidents have taken place in front of our children. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. The school will not tolerate this behaviour and will be forced to issue the Enclosed Lands Act to those responsible if this behaviour continues. Be aware, all incidents are documented on our school system.
Applications are still open, if any community member is interested in volunteering their time at the school. Our next intake for parents to volunteer in the classroom is coming up. If you are interested, please fill in an application form at the front office.
National Walk Safely to School Day, is celebrated on Friday May 16th and it encourages primary school children to walk to school safely and regularly. This event promotes road safety, health, and environmental benefits, urging families to prioritise walking as a mode of transport. It's an opportunity for children and parents to learn about pedestrian safety and encourage active lifestyles.
Please ensure you have returned your permission note for our athletics carnival. Our carnival is now at school. We look forward to welcoming our community to school on this day.
We hope our community enjoyed our Mother’s Day picnic last Thursday. The Mother’s Day craft activity was a success with over 25 mothers in attendance! Thank you to our volunteers who worked on our Mother’s Day stall.
