NAPLAN
We have almost completed NAPLAN 2025. Well done to all students who have sat for this assessment this year - we are proud of you.
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual national assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9 that measures literacy and numeracy skills, providing data on student achievement to governments, schools, and parents.
NAPLAN aims to assess the literacy and numeracy skills that students are learning through the school curriculum and to determine whether young Australians are meeting important educational outcomes.
NAPLAN tests students in the areas of reading, writing, conventions of language (spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and numeracy.
The results are used by governments, education authorities, and schools to determine whether young Australians are meeting important goals in literacy and numeracy, and to inform curriculum planning and resource allocation.
NAPLAN is about assessing learning progress, not about assigning grades or determining whether students have passed or failed.
Yanco Public School congratulates Blake Downes and Blayne Wood. Blayne was successful in reaching the next level in soccer and Blake in both soccer and AFL trials.
Best of luck boys!
