A huge congratulations to our swimmers who put in an outstanding effort at the Divisional Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 5th March! It was fantastic to see so many of our students achieve Personal Best (PB) times, a testament to their dedication, persistence, and the hard work they’ve put into their training. A special shoutout to two of our swimmers, Sophia (5C) and Shiv (6B) who placed 5th overall in their backstroke and breaststroke events, an incredible achievement in a highly competitive field!
Our relay teams were another highlight of the day, demonstrating strong teamwork, determination and school spirit. It was great to see students supporting one another, pushing themselves to perform at their best and working together to execute smooth and well coordinated relay swims. Their enthusiasm and effort in every race was a real credit to them and reflected the positive culture we strive to foster at our school.
Beyond the results, what stood out most was the resilience, sportsmanship and encouragement on display throughout the event. Whether it was celebrating a great race, bouncing back from a tough one or cheering on teammates from the side-lines, our swimmers represented Glen Waverley Primary School with pride and positivity. Well done to all our competitors—you should be so proud of your achievements!
