District Swimming Sports – Thursday, 27th February at Monash Aquatic Centre

On Thursday, 27th February, a dedicated group of 11 students from Years 4, 5, and 6 braved a chilly morning to compete in the District Swimming Sports at Monash Aquatic Centre. Though the early hours were cold, the sun eventually broke through, offering some warmth and much-needed energy as our swimmers eagerly awaited their events.

It was a highly successful day for our swimmers, with 9 students advancing to the Division Swimming Championships next week at Boroondara Sports Complex on Wednesday, 5th March. These students showcased exceptional skill and determination in their individual events across a variety of strokes.

Students progressing to Division:

  • Sophia: Backstroke and Breaststroke
  • Kevon: Freestyle and Butterfly
  • Shiv: Breaststroke
  • Nathanya: Backstroke

In addition, three relay teams will be advancing to the next round:

  • Boys 4x50m Medley Relay: Helitha, Shiv, Kevon, and Riaan
  • Mixed 4x50m Freestyle Relays: Shiv, Yana, Sheila, Aanya, Kevon, Riaan, Helitha, and Sophia

A massive congratulations to all students who participated and represented the school so well. Your efforts and success are something to be very proud of. Best of luck to those progressing to the Division Swimming Championships on Wednesday 5th Mar! Keep up the fantastic work!
