In the next two weeks students will begin exploring time as part of their maths learning. This will include calculating duration of time and converting between units of time, for example 60 seconds is 1 minute and 60 minutes is 1 hour.
Inquiry
As part of our Inquiry learning this term we have been exploring health and safety messages shown in media. Students watched a number of advertisements and as a class we discussed if the message was created by someone we could 'trust'. This conversation raised a number of interesting topics before students finally had to categorise the media messages into 'trust' and 'don't trust' while also justifying their decision.
Well-being
Over the next two weeks we will be working on:
exploring what makes us stressed
responding to stress
recognising positive and negative emotions
developing our individual strategies for 'Ready-to-Learn' plans
Dojo Awards
Congratulations to the following students for receiving their 'Bronze' certificate for reaching 75 Dojo points!
