New Staff at PSC

We’re excited to introduce some of the newest members of our Pakenham Secondary College team! They each bring unique skills, experience and enthusiasm that will make a valuable impact on our school community. Please read on to get to know some of our wonderful new staff!
Sean Richards – Art & Photography Teacher
We’re excited to welcome Sean to Pakenham Secondary College! Coming to us from Trafalgar High School, where he taught for over nine years, Sean made the move to be closer to his parents. His passion for learning led him to teaching and he loves that every day in the classroom he learns something new.
Outside of teaching, Sean is a talented musician, having played guitar, bass and vocals in bands - including a 10-year stint in a punk band that toured the East Coast. He later transitioned into electronic music and even composed a film score. A gifted artist as well, Sean looks forward to spending more time painting in the years ahead.
Kayla Hardy - Physical Education & Health Teacher
Kayla joins us from Northern Alberta, Canada, by way of the UK, and was eager to join our school because of its strong sense of community. A passionate P.E. teacher, she is dedicated to helping students embrace fitness in a way that resonates with them, encouraging everyone to find their own niche in physical activity. She particularly values excursions that expose students to different aspects of fitness.
In her fifth year of teaching in Canada and with a deep curiosity about different cultures, Kayla’s teaching journey first took her to Windsor in the UK, where she even had the unique experience of seeing the late Queen’s coffin. Now, she’s embracing the challenges of a much warmer climate—though coming from a place where temperatures can drop to -50°C, she’s certainly no stranger to extreme weather!
Kayla loves her job, especially working with students who are, in her words, “always full of surprises.” We’re excited to have her at PSC and look forward to the energy and enthusiasm she brings to our school!
Nicolle McIntosh - Integration Aide
Nicolle comes to us after three years of volunteering at Nar Nar Goon Primary School, where she supported students in reading, maths, and wherever else she was needed. Nicolle loves working with students and has already found a special connection with our PACT class, describing it as a little family.
Before transitioning into education, Nicolle is a talented chocolatier and ran her own baking business for many years. After taking some time to travel around Australia with her family, Nicolle decided to pursue her other passion - working with children. We are extremely lucky to have her on board!
Devayani Velupillai - Humanities & English Teacher
Debbie is excited to bring her passion for Humanities and English to our classrooms. Her love for teaching started early - at just four years old, she would watch her aunt mark school papers and pretend to do the same. Debbie never wavered from her dream of becoming a teacher!
In addition to her love of literature and history, Debbie is a trained opera singer. She received a scholarship in Year 11 and 12 to attend a prominent music school and puts her vocal talents to good use in the classroom. We can’t wait to hear Deb break out into song during the year.
Jane Okenwa Nwodoh - Maths & Science Teacher
Jane brings her extensive expertise in Maths and Science to our school, which includes an incredible five years living and working in Vietnam - a spontaneous decision that turned into an unforgettable adventure. She describes it as "great fun" with "amazing food."
Inspired by her mother, a dedicated teacher for 25 years, Jane was encouraged to pursue teaching as a vocation, and she is very glad she did. With a background in microbiology, Jane has always had a passion for food quality. Outside of the classroom, Jane loves cooking and is always excited to try new foods.
Jane’s passion for teaching and her diverse experiences make her a truly inspiring educator who is dedicated to helping students discover their potential.
Megan Perry - Receptionist
We’re thrilled to welcome Megan Perry to our general office team! Before joining our College, Megan spent four years at Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School, where she expertly managed camps and excursions administration. Looking for a new challenge, she has embraced her busy role here with enthusiasm and skill, quickly proving to be an incredible all-rounder.
As a new mum, Megan has mastered the art of multitasking - an essential talent for our extremely busy and efficient office team! She is loving the opportunity to meet our students, families and staff, and she’s excited to put faces to names. Next time you’re in the office, please say hello to Megan!
Josh Susskind - Humanities & Business Management Teacher
Josh has always wanted to be a teacher, inspired by his own school days - especially a remarkable Year 7 teacher who sparked his love for learning. If he weren’t teaching, Josh would like to be a food taste tester, as he loves all food.
A natural performer, Josh was once part of an improv troupe and even performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival! He brings that same energy and enthusiasm into his classroom, creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment.
