Year 7 News

A Year 7 Recap!
It has been a massive start to high school for our Year 7 cohort! At the beginning of the term we welcomed nervous yet courageous students through our gates, and what a wild few weeks it’s been!
Here are some of the things Year 7 have taken part in so far in 2025:
- The Get to Know You Day
- School Swimming Carnival
- Laptop Roll Out
- School Sport
- First lessons of Wellbeing
- The first Year 7 Class Challenge (7Blue just nudging 7Green)
- Getting used to the lockers and padlocks
- Meeting Frankie!
- The school's first Community Day for the year (plus some competitive tug of war!)
Whilst Year 7 has been a massive adjustment for all, the positive ‘can do’ attitude of every student has been a great indicator for what I hope is a great 2025. As assessments begin to be issued and the ‘busyness’ of high school kicks in, it is important students remember a few things:
- Write important dates into the School Diary
- Don’t procrastinate and leave things to the last minute!
- Give yourself a clean and quiet space to complete schoolwork
